During a child’s elementary school years there’s a “sweet spot” from ages 8–11 when they can comprehend a complex issue like underage drinking and be open to your input and guidance. Helping them form the right attitude toward alcohol takes patience and repetition. But starting at an early age can help them stay on the right path later in life.
